Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of JobPilot (the "Service"), operated by OEKHOST Limited ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using JobPilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

JobPilot is a subscription-based web application that uses artificial intelligence (the Claude API by Anthropic) to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and screening question answers from a user-provided CV and job description.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use JobPilot. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Your account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account credentials confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at privacy@usejobpilot.com if you suspect unauthorised access

We use email-and-password authentication provided by Supabase. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text.

4. Subscription plans, billing, and cancellation

Prices are shown in USD and exclude UK VAT, which is not currently charged (we are not yet UK VAT-registered). If we become VAT-registered we will add applicable VAT to subscription prices and notify you in advance.

Billing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe, starting on the day you subscribe. The subscription automatically renews each month on the same date until cancelled.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from within the Service or by emailing privacy@usejobpilot.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access to your paid plan until that date.

Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by UK consumer law. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription for a full refund, provided you have not started using the Service. By generating any content within the 14-day window you expressly agree to begin the service and waive your statutory right to cancel. If a charge appears in error, contact privacy@usejobpilot.com and we will investigate.

5. Generation limits

Generation count resets at the start of each billing period. Unused generations do not roll over. If you exceed your monthly limit, additional generations are unavailable until your limit resets or you upgrade to a higher tier.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content for fraudulent applications (e.g. misrepresenting qualifications or identity to an employer)
• Generate content related to illegal activities
• Upload CVs or job descriptions that contain content you do not have the right to use (e.g. another person's CV without their consent)
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the prompts or proprietary AI logic
• Use automated systems to access the Service at a rate that interferes with normal operation
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its output as a commercial offering

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

7. AI-generated output disclaimer

Output produced by JobPilot is AI-generated text and may contain factual inaccuracies, outdated information, generic phrasing, or misinterpretations of the job description.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all output before using it in any job application. JobPilot makes no warranty that:

• Output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose
• Use of the Service will result in a job interview, offer, or any other outcome
• Output will not be similar to output generated for other users with similar inputs

The Service is provided as a productivity aid, not as a substitute for your own judgement and editorial control.

8. Intellectual property

Your content. You retain all ownership of the CVs, job descriptions, and other inputs you provide. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, store, and process this content solely to provide the Service to you.

Generated output. Subject to payment of any applicable subscription fees, you own the AI-generated output. You may use it for any lawful purpose, including in job applications.

Our Service. All rights in the JobPilot software, design, branding, and prompts are owned by OEKHOST Limited. These Terms grant you no licence to copy or use them.

9. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• We are not liable for any loss of opportunity (e.g. a job application not succeeding), loss of earnings, or any indirect, consequential, or special damages
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising from (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) content you provided that infringes the rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms (including Section 6). We will give you reasonable notice where possible. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law (see Privacy Policy Section 7).

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and emailing privacy@usejobpilot.com to request account deletion.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance. If you do not agree with a change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
